of Arc offers many educational programs for toddlers to adults.
Opportunities include the Early Learning Center (ELC), religious education and
sacramental preparation for grades kindergarten through six as well as for

Early Learning Center
The center has a
year-round early childhood education program for children ages three through
Kindergarten and is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Before and after child care is provided to those children who are enrolled in the

Religious Education
Kindergarten Sixth Grade
This program is
designed to assist parents in the Catholic education of their children.
Registration begins in the spring; classes begin in September:
Sundays 9:00-10:00 A.M. for Kindergarten only; after the 9:00 A.M. Mass for
Kindergarten - 6th grade
Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 P.M. for Kindergarten - 6th grade; 6:00-7:00 P.M. for 1st -
6th grade
Wednesdays 4:30-5:30 P.M. for 1st - 6th grade

First Reconciliation/First
Communion
Parents are assisted in the preparation of their children (second and third
grade) who are enrolled in Religious Education, Catholic school or through a
Home Study Program under the supervision of the director of Religious Formation.
This is in preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the fall and First
Holy Communion in the spring.

Youth Ministry
Youth ministry is not
optional, something to do, or not, as we choose. It is an indispensable
investment in the future the future of young people themselves and also the
future of the world and the Church. (Most Rev. Charles J. Chaput)
The Youth Ministry program at Saint Joan of Arc Church includes as a part of its
formation, catechesis, prayer, worship, service, and human formation. Our
commitment is to help the youth of all ages fall in love, and remain in love
with our Savior Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith. Registration begins in the
spring; classes begin in September:
Middle School 7th & 8th grades: Thursdays 7:00-8:30 PM
Confirmation 9th-12th grades: Tuesdays 7:30-9:00 PM
Youth Group 9th-12th grades: Mondays 7:00-9:00 PM, alternating weeks
On-Going High School Faith Formation 9th-12th grades (already confirmed):

RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation of
Children)
Weekly catechetical classes in a sharing atmosphere that teach the Catholic
faith to any child who wants to become Catholic and who has not gone through the
traditional catechetical program.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
This is the Churchs process for teaching the faith of the Roman Catholic Church
to adults who are unfamiliar with the Church. Sessions begin in September and
conclude at the Easter Vigil and are held in Durrie Hall on Wednesdays from
7:00-8:00 P.M.

Adult Education
Throughout the year, various programs such as scripture study and book
discussions are offered to further the study and understanding of our scriptures
and faith. This group meets from September through April on Tuesdays from
7:00-8:00 P.M. A daytime class on the same topic is also offered on
Mondays from 10:00-11:00 A.M.

Bible Stories Revisited
This study provides new opportunities for learning and spiritual growth, as well
as increasing knowledge of stories in the bible. The class is open to all and no
